FLORA's History
Where personal experience meets specialized care
Flora Fertility & Family Counseling Center was born from lived experience. After six years of trying to build a family, including loss, repeated disappointments, and the emotional and financial challenges of pursuing IVF both abroad and in the United States, I came to understand firsthand the profound impact infertility and fertility treatment can have on every aspect of life.
As a therapist, I could also see where the gaps existed. While medical providers offered essential and highly skilled care, the emotional experience often felt isolating, overwhelming, and, at times, unseen. There was little opportunity to fully process the grief, anxiety, relationship strain, and uncertainty that can accompany the journey to parenthood. It became clear that while general therapy can be helpful, fertility challenges often require a more specialized and nuanced approach.
That realization became the foundation for Flora.
Flora was created to provide fertility-focused counseling that is both clinically grounded and informed by lived experience. My goal is to offer a space where individuals and couples feel understood, supported, and less alone as they navigate one of the most challenging and meaningful journeys of their lives.
